On Friday, October 13th., 2006 parts of the Western New York area, including Newstead where our church is located at, got hit with a "Surprised October Snow Storm". The storm dumped over two feet of heavy, wet snow overnight, placing an overbearing load on the leaf covered trees. As a result, there was a lot of tree damage. Luckily at the church and parsonage, no damage to the buildings but every tree on the property was damaged, some severe.
About two dozen volunteers helped in the clean-up process, It took about two hours to complete the task, which amounted to approximately 50 man hours. We would like to say "thank you" to all the volunteers.
