The Ladies of Trinity, and their guests, gathered at a “Springtime Tea” on June 3, 2007. Over $450 was raised from the tea and will be given to the youth for the upcoming Rock-a-thon benefiting MDA. The confirmation classes of St. John’s Akron, Trinity Wolcottsville and Trinity South Newstead have planned a Rock-a-thon for November 10, 2007. This event will be open to the community. “Rockers” will be collecting pledges for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and rocking in chairs from 9:00 am to 11:00 pm, in one-hour shifts. Congregation and community members are invited to participate as “rockers”. Currently the students are seeking sponsors for rocking chairs. A portion of the donated rockers will be painted on by local artists and auctioned at the conclusion of the event. Entertainment and prizes drawings will be held throughout the event. Donations of prizes for the event are also being sought.
